I would really want your opinion on raw cane sugar , sometimes i don`t have time to stuff myself with fruits before training , so i eat just plain sugar , gives me power for sure , but i`m not sure its really a healthy idea

@durianriders How do rice and beans fit into a raw diet?

@norxcontacts why don’t you use your own brain?, maybe you need more carbs before you can do that? Why focus on what is essential? Focus on what is the best – high carbs from fruits and cut out the crap food made by the capitalists to get the most profit out of you, and get you buying their magic pills. From the fruit you will get all the essentials like protein and fat and many more good chemicals that you cannot get anywhere else, and you will get them in the right amounts of nature.

@duskatmaureens Yeah I’m actually thinking of cutting out eggs too! Thanks for the advice =)

@karenhidef I usually eat hard boiled eggs, no sault, no oils… I’m only eating them for the protein… but I’m actually thinking of cutting them out too! And I’m already using myfitnesspal =) Thank you soooo much for the advice, I really appreciate =)

@durianriders it wasn’t an attack on what you were saying, I’m trying to learn, and there’s lots of conflicting information on the web. thanks for your help

@durianriders Your comment back to “israelandlaura12″ is reactive, defensive, and makes your point of view questionable. If you can’t provide back a professional response, because you’re tired of answering, then say nothing at all. I know you are a very passionate person, however, sometimes this translates to overly aggressive, and this turns (some) people off.

@woodedape That is a very good question. I’m researching if I should keep rice and beans in my diet of fruits, vegs, nuts. According to the Paleo diet, they would exclude beans. Rice – gluten free, as rice is technically a seed – I’ve read a few items of concern. Bottomline: fruit, vegs, nuts, beans, rice diet (in moderation), combined with exercise, should be a good platform diet.

@durianriders I attended my first 30 bananas a day meeting here in Perth yesterday and I have to buy the book but I’d like to know what do I do if I actually want to put on weight? I lost alot of weight as I was ill and would like to put it back on.

@norxcontacts I’d love to see you try to survive on a zero carb diet. Please post a some video footage of your attempt. Even if you buy 100% pure Whey Protein Isolate, it still has about 1% carbs in it (and that’s probably the lowest carb protein source you’ll find). So I’m not sure where you’ll find a protein source with zero carbs to prove your point. I guess you could try living off coconut oil. You’d only need to have about 300gram/350ml per day to get 2500 calories per day.

Forgive me if this was covered in one of your other videos, what are your thoughts on “frozen” fruit? Been reading 80/10/10, and he mentions the importance of water content in fruits….. (sorry haven’t completed book yet). Thanks for any reply!!

@israelandlaura12 Doesn’t seems to me like you did much research. It took me 5 minutes to find a 2004 article in “Nutrition and Metabolism” that discusses this in detail. It’s even listed on the “LiveStrong” site, which was the first link that came up when I searched “dietary thermogenesis.” Give research a shot. Or, just trust that Harley has done it for you! :)

@fvalen001 yea… I’m really new at this vegan thing, and it doesn’t help to have people react like that when you’re looking for help. We should be supporting one another, not tearing at each other…

@israelandlaura12 Sorry kid. This is why alot people attack durianrider and Feelee, because they are poor communicators, and have a rude, defensive attitude. I was a fan of them, until I realized how juvenile they are. Bottomline: I’m not buying whatever they are selling, 30bad, books, etc…Bottomline: I’m a raw vegan without them taking my money. And I have stopped watching their videos, as their is much better communicators / information out there.

  16. israelandlaura12 says:

    @fvalen001 could you recommend some?

  17. fvalen001 says:

@israelandlaura12 On Youtube? Subscribe to “rawfoodfamilylife”. The guys name is Ka Sundance. Watch his video ‘Shit People On A Raw Food Diet Say’, he’s obviously joking on this one, but, his last comment is so true “Just peace out, and relax. It’s just some food”. At least, this guy has a balanced, and educated view point on (raw) vegan. I hope that helps

  18. karenhidef says:

@angelsafa – no need for the yolk then! It’s mostly fat! The whites have the protein. Even better given them up altogether – I think these low fat low protein vegans (I’m new to LFRV myself) are right – protein’s over-rated. The U.N. says we only need 2% in protein, so they double that to be safe - 4%. In the states the corporation$ control all the recommendations.

There’s even evidence that excess protein causes osteoporosis! But that’s good for business – they can sell drugs for that!

  19. israelandlaura12 says:

@fvalen001 Thanks so much :) it totally does help! It’s hard to find legit people to read/listen to when you’re first starting out!

Sleeping 12 hours a day is absolutely not at all possible for most people.

@questions117 Your right, its only for those serious about health, fitness and having drug free fun. :)
